Home > Where to stay > The Bark House
The Bark House was originally a building for storing bark used in the tanning industry.
Nowadays it has six cosy bedrooms, five on the first floor and a second floor suite which opens into the woodland behind the hotel. Oakfordbridge is a small hamlet in the Exe Valley on the Devon, Somerset border six miles south of the picturesque village of Dulverton.
Facilities include a lounge with open fire, restaurant and a small bar. The first floor bedrooms look over the valley and are individually furnished and differ in size, each with private bath or shower room.
Meals are home cooked with meat supplied locally from a quality butcher in Bampton, and fresh fish. The wine list has a selection of about twenty five wines from around the world.
There is ample off road parking and we have an attractive garden and small orchard.
