Anstey Mills Cottage, end of traditional Devon longhouse.

Beautifully converted listed barns: Luxurious Thatched Cottage or end of Devon Longhouse peacefully set in a picturesque countryside bordering Exmoor, ideal access to south and west coast. Comfortable accommodation with a) 1 galleried bedroom with pace for 2 + 2 small
children (sgl futons or sofabed downstairs), whirlpool bath and heated floor in bathroom b) 3 spacious bedrooms (1 en-suite) sleeps 6/7 and 2 cots.

Both very suitable for families and can be combined to cater for 11 + 2 cots, ideal for families and bigger groups as there is ample space in all rooms and around the large farmhouse table (large cottage). Fully equipped to a high standard including dishwasher, small freezer, washing machine, dryer, microwave, TV, video, dvd, radio/cassette/CD-player, 2 cots, highchair and stair gates.

Anstey Mills Cottages can be rented together to accommodate larger groups below are the rates for both cottages.

Tranquillity in picturesque setting; we accept well behaved dogs, as do most public houses in the area; log fire (large cottage) and central heating throughout, decking (thatched cottage) and large private garden with BBQ; excellent standard of cleanliness, well equipped kitchens and helpful host. Situated between both coasts on Exmoor’s border, the ideal base for all kinds of excursions: riding 1 mile, golf 10 miles, good walking, cycling (Two-Moors-Way and West Country Way cycle Route No 3 both pass close to our land) and fishing.

Bustling Dulverton is just 4 miles down the road, Tiverton and Minehead within 17 miles; plenty of places for cream teas, markets, gardens and historic sights as well as wildlife, birdsong, Exmoor ponies and good local pubs.

Road Directions

From M5 junction 27
Take A361, turning off at Knowstone. Follow road straight on, crossing over B3227. Left at T-junction through Oldways End to East Anstey. At East Anstey sign (just past SGB agriculture) follow road signposted to Tarr Steps/Hawkridge. Straight on and up hill for nearly 2 miles. East Liscombe on left over cattle grid(last left before five crossways).

Public Transport Directions

From Tiverton Parkway - 25 miles
Direct bus 307 from Taunton station to near Oldways End, 2 miles from East Liscombe.
