Anchor Cottage is in the Minehead Harbour Conservation Area and is one of a line of fisherman’s dwellings built in the early 17th C along Quay Street. At high tide the sea reaches the sea wall within feet of the front door. The front bedroom looks directly over the sea to the coast of Wales and to the east to the Quantock Hills and the islands of Steep Holme and Flat Holme.
Blenheim Gardens and Minehead shopping centre are a short level walk away as is the Old Ship Aground pub on the Quay.
The cottage has been refurbished to a very high standard and has been awarded 4 * for a number of years.
Full gas central heating, spacious lounge, open fire (logs supplied ) telephone, 20” flatscreen TV with freeview and DVD. Local walking books and guides provided for guests use. DVD’s and board games.
Fully fitted kitchen, gas cooker, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, washing machine, tumble drier, ironing board and iron, coffee maker.
Upstairs bathroom with bath and power shower, shaver point, WC.
Two bedrooms, one with double bed, the second with two 3ft wide beds.

From M5 Jcn 24 Take A39 to Minehead and leave at Seaward Way roundabout on edge of town (right to Butlins). Left at 2nd roundabout on seafront (Warren Road) then 0.25 mile along, right at railway station, follow into The Esplanade then Quay Street.
From Taunton - 25 miles
Take service 28 bus from railway station. Service runs every half hour (Mon-Sat) at 14 and 44 minutes past the hour. Alight at The Parade in Minehead from where a taxi can take you to the cottage (about 3 minutes).
