Raft Race - RNLI

The Blue Anchor Beach to Minehead annual raft race is now one of the biggest events of its type in the country.

The race starts at 3.30pm from the Blue Anchor Beach and ends in Minehead Harbour at approximately 5.30pm.

Entry is £3.50 per crew member (adults only).

Home made rafts set off from Blue Anchor Beach to paddle the approximate 4.5 miles to Minehead Harbour.

Prizes are awarded to all taking part at a ceremony on the quay early evening.

Day and evening entertainment with a grand firework display at 9.30pm.

At dusk over spectators are treated to firework spectacular from the harbour bringing the towns biggest event to a fitting close.
