West Molland Team Tetrathlon

WMTT

The West Molland Tetrathlon is now well established and this will be its 5th year, located close to the village of Molland, South Molton, Devon. The course is right on the edge of Exmoor in a wonderful setting on the old horse trials course.

The event is in aid of the Devon and Air Ambulance and DSSH, run by its supporters club.

There are plenty of other attractions to keep the family and everyone else entertained.
These include:
• Trade Stands
• Terrier & Lurcher Racing
• Tug O’War
• Hog Roast & Bar
• Open Clay Shooting (£50 High Gun)
Competing in teams of 4, (each member to undertake just one phase) or as individuals, the phases are:
• Equine Cross Country
• Running
• Mountain Biking
• Clay Pigeon Shooting

Promising to provide plenty of action for spectators and making a fantastic day out for all the family.

A team will consist of four members, each having to undertake one discipline.
An individual will compete in all four disciplines; they may also compete for a different team in each discipline with the same points counting for both.
No under 14’s allowed to enter in either the team or individual event.

THE EXMOOR EVENTING EQUINE CROSS COUNTRY
Over the West Molland Cross - Country Course
Approximately 18 fences, fences approximately 2’9”
Including some larger optional bonus fences.
Riding hats and back protectors (to current BS Standards must be worn). First competitor to start at approx: 10:00am

THE BLACKSTAR MOUNTAIN BIKING
Approx. 4.5 km of fields, roads & tracks
Cycling helmets (to current BS Standards must be worn). You will need a mountain bike.
All competitors to start at approx: 13:00

THE WINSTON PINCOMBE RUNNING
Approx. 4 km. cross - country
A level of fitness will be required
All competitors to start at approx: 14:00
THE FIRE DEFENCE CLAY SHOOTING
20 clays
Competitors must be in possession of their own shotgun and bring their current certificate. Fibre wad cartridges to be used only.
First competitor to start at approx: 10:30am – Finish at 13:30
Team Categories
OPEN - Open to anyone!
FAMILY - All members to be related (somehow!)
HUNT - Open to members of a hunt or its supporters, who hunt on a regular basis
Medals and prizes in kind, including extra prizes for special (!!) achievement.
Individual Competition
Shipton & Heneage individual challenge
– Open to all ladies and gents 14 yrs and over

RULES
1. No under 14’s will be allowed to compete in any discipline.
2. Any Shooters under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
3. Competitor must be in possession of own shotgun and bring their current certificate, which is to be shown prior to commencing shooting.
4. Ear defenders must be worn, soft hat and safety specs are advisable. Fibre Wad Cartridges must be used.
5. Riding hats and body protectors (to current BS Standards) must be worn.
6. Horses may undertake the course twice with different riders for different teams.
7. Cycling helmet (to current BS Standards) must be worn. A mountain bike is
required.
8. All ages are as on the day of the competition.
9. The judge’s and/or organiser’s decision is final.
10. Children must be supervised at all times.
11. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
12. The committee has the right to restrict entries if oversubscribed.
13. All teams and individuals must declare by 9:30am on the day
14. The organisers and landowners accept no responsibility for any loss or damage to any person, animal, vehicle or property whatsoever – however caused. Competitors enter entirely at their own risk and it is a condition of entry that no liability of any kind attaches itself to the organisers or landowner of the competition in any respect whatsoever.

A farrier, vet and paramedics will be in attendance.
