On the 9th September 2008 the Tour of Britain international cycle race, will once again be returning to Exmoor.
Last year 30,000 turned out on a gloriously sunny Exmoor day to watch the 112 riders from around the world racing from sea level to cliff top, all chasing that coveted yellow jersey.
The race this year will start in Chard taking in South Molton, North Molton, Sandyford and Withypool before moving to the more familiar ground of Exford and Wheddon Cross. From there, the riders head North through Timberscombe, Dunster, Williton and then East to the finishing line at Burnham on Sea.
