Blue Anchor Beach to Minehead annual raft race is now one of the biggest events of its type in the country.
The 31st annual Minehead Lifeboat Raft Race in association with Butlins starts at 2.30pm from the Blue Anchor Beach to paddle the 4.5 miles to Minehead Harbour arriving at approximately 3.15pm. The fun race starts at Minehead seafront at 2:30pm.
Craft stalls, samba band, live bands and disco on official RNLI stage with prizes awarded to all taking part at a ceremony on the quay early evening.
At 9:30pm spectators are treated to a spectacular firework display from Minehead harbour bringing the town’s biggest event to a fitting close.

From the North: M5 to Junction 23, A38 to Bridgwater, A39 to Dunster, Minehead
From the South: M5 to Junction 25, A3027; A358 to Williton, then A39 as above
From West: A39 to Barnstaple and then through to Lynton/Lynmouth, Porlock, Minehead.
