Lorna Doone Ride

The Exmoor Foxhounds Lorna Doone Picnic Ride, with optional fancy dress is being held on Sunday 13th June 2010.

It will start at Drybrige, on Brendon Common. There will be a slower, shorter route for those who want to enjoy Exmoor at a steady pace and a longer, faster ride, which will be lead by Tony Wright, Huntsman, who is one of the best people at covering Exmoor on horseback. If required a third ride will go out for a medium length ride.

There is no confirmed pre-planned route, this means that if unable to cross rivers on the day the route can be changed at short notice.

You will ride for approx. 2hrs before a picnic stop and then heading back to the start.

Be prepared to tackle any of the following: steep hills, stony tracks, wet ground, river crossings

A donation will be made to the Brooke Hospital for Animals, from the proceeds of this event
