2010 Century Cycle Challenge

Century Cycle Force

The event follows the local training route ridden by Marc Millon and Nello Ghezzo in preparation for their epic ride from Topsham to Venice in 1997. Nello tragically died of cancer in 1999 and this cycle ride, has become an annual tribute to Nello.

As in previous years there will be a choice of 100 or 55 mile rides through the Exe Valley across Exmoor. The 55 and 100 mile rides will start at the FORCE Cancer Support Centre and finish at Topsham RFC. For safety reasons and to avoid congestion, riders will be grouped for a phased start commencing 8.00am for the 100 mile ride and 8.30am for the 55 mile ride.

The event now raises in excess of £40,000 for FORCE Cancer Charity. The ride is an absolute classic, not just because the route is at once beautiful and challenging, but also because of quality and quantity of delicious food encountered all along the way.

Confirmation of route details will be sent out from FORCE by post nearer to the event.
