Home > What's on Diary > Care Challenge Series - New Media Adventure Challenge
Now in its second year, this 1 day, multi-activity event for the new media industry is the perfect way to challenge yourself and raise funds for CARE’s overseas development programmes. If you work in new media then this is the event for you!
This year, the New Media Challenge will take place within the stunning Exmoor National Park in Somerset and you will hike, bike and canoe as part of a team. By the end of the day, you will each have covered a marathon distance on bike, foot and canoe. The day will culminate in a well earned evening meal at a nearby venue, followed by awards ceremony, prize giving and, for those who still have the energy, dancing.
This is an opportunity to meet people from the new media industry, get out of the office and get active in the beautiful countryside.
Your funds will support CARE’s work in over 70 countries around the world; it could be used in emergency conflict situations like Gaza, where CARE distributed fresh food, blankets, hygiene kits and shelter kits, and delivered desperately needed pharmaceuticals and medical supplies. Alternatively, your money could be used to support CARE’s work with communities to find long-term sustainable solutions that tackle the underlying causes of poverty.
The Challenge team will support you at every stage of your New Media Adventure Challenge and will be on hand to offer support advice relating to fundraising and training.
