2010 UK Ironman 70.3 - Wimbleball

The Ironman UK 70.3 event consists of a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike and a 13.1 mile run and 1,500 athletes competing for a an opportunity to qualify for one of the 100 qualifying slots for the inaugural Ford Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Clearwater, Florida.

Six of the Ironman 70.3 global events will carry slots for the Ford Ironman World Championship, which is double the distance and held in Hawaii each October!

Qualifying events are held all around the world at venues including California, St Croix, Florida, Baja, Honu, Scandinavia, Brazil, Monaco and Cancun Mexico.

Race organisers, IRONMAN UK, are now proud to add Exmoor to this global IRONMAN list.

The Wimbleball event in June offers 100 qualifying slots for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in Clearwater, Florida - in November.

Road Directions

From Tiverton take the A396, follow brown signs from the Exeter Inn roundabout to Bampton & then Wimbleball.

From Dunster take the A396 towards Dulverton; follow brown signs at Machine Cross.

From Taunton take the A39 to Washford Cross, and then the B3190 towards Bampton, the turning for Wimbleball is signed from this road.
