West Somerset Company of Archers

The West Somerset Company of Archers is a target archery club with both indoor and outdoor facilities.

We shoot at Wootton Courtney, within the Exmoor National Park close to the foot of Dunkery Beacon, the highest point in the Park. The old cricket pavilion is our meeting point with our storage facility close-by. The field is large and nearly flat---anyone who knows Exmoor will know that level is a forgotten word in these parts. The recreation ground gives us ample room to shoot the 100 yard/90 metre rounds in summer and we also shoot Frostbite rounds during the Winter taking part in both County and British Archer postal competitions.

We are only a short way from the majestic setting of Dunster Castle, host each year to the wonderful Dunster Archery week.
