23 Oct 11The Exmoor Stagger - 15 miles of beautiful country from Minehead to Dunkery Beacon (the highest point on Exmoor at 1702ft) and back.
This is an annual event which is designed to provide a challenging off road course using the steep and varied terrain within running distance of Minehead. The distance is 15.1 miles with total ascent of 3627 ft.
The route runs from Minehead to the highest point on Exmoor, Dunkery Beacon and then back to Minehead.
It will follow a mixture of paths, rough terrain and tracks and both the outward and return leg will involve some tough climbs.
The Exmoor Stumble = A shorter 'fun run' alternative to the Stagger but still a tough 6 miler with a beast of a hill.
This has become an annual event designed to offer a shorter alternative to the Stagger.
Starting alongside the Stagger it is a challenging off-road route using paths and hills close to Minehead and covers a distance of approximately 6 miles.
Do not underestimate this race!!
