Times: 9-4pm daily

The BCU 2* course is a two day course which covers all the basic flat water skills in a kayak and an open canoe. Skills covered include personal paddling skills such as forwards and reverse paddling, support strokes, moving the boat in a variety of directions, and rescue skills.
We will introduce basic paddlesport theory as well as throw line skills and essential kit. Following a day of skills in both kayak and canoe, we will cover the wet rescues as well as a substantial journey on Wimbleball lake.
By the end of the course you should be confident in a range of skills in both kayaks and canoes as well as increasing your knowledge and awareness of paddling in general, from rescues, kit to take, clothing to wear and awareness of hazards and different paddling environments.
